The following uses are prohibited within the limits of the Municipality:
(a) Penal or correctional institution. Institution for the insane or feeble-minded.
(b) Storage of oil or gasoline in excess of twenty-five thousand (25,000) gallons.
(c) Manufacture of carbon, coke, lampblack, coal, gas, destrine, glucose, starch, disinfectant or insecticide, which emits offensive odors, dye stuffs, steel, matches, oil cloth, linoleum, rubber by reclaiming processes, stock feed from refuse, hair, hydrochloric, nitric, picric, sulphuric or sulphurous acid, bronze powder, cement, gypsym, lime, plaster of Paris, fertilizer from phosphates or organic matter, gelatine, glue, sizing, explosives, or rayon.
(d) Manufacture or refining of asphalt or tar, or the mixing of either material for street paving purposes.
(e) Manufacture or treatment of creosote.
(f) Manufacture of paper and pulp by sulphide processes emitting noxious gases or odors.
(g) Production or refining of petroleum or other flammable liquids.
(h) Rock crushing.
(i) Storage of scrap iron, junk, scrap paper or rags.
(j) Tanning, curing, or storage of raw hides or skins.
(k) Scouring or pulling of wool.
(1) Manufacture or refining of ammonia, bleaching powder, soda, soda compound, potash or chlorine.
(m) Distillation of bones, coal or wood, or manufacture of any of the by-products of such distillation.
(n) Manufacture, rendering or refining of fat, grease, lard or tallow.
(o) Nitrating of cotton or other cellulose material.
(p) Cemetery.
(q) Cremation.
(r) Residence in building or part of a building designed for use as a garage, stable or tool shed.
(s) Slaughtering of animals.
(t) Stock yards.
(u) Trailer camps.
(v) Wholesale produce market or salesroom, curb market.
(w) Storage or use of garbage from sources other than on the premises for feeding pigs or hogs or for any other purpose.
(x) Any other trade, industry or use that will be injurious, hazardous, noxious or offensive to an extent equal to or greater than any of the enterprises enumerated in this section. (Ord. 350. Passed 7-6-44; Amended by Ord. 840. Passed 6-9-58; Amended by Ord. 905. Passed 6-13-60.)
