For the purpose of this chapter the following terms, phrases, words and their derivations shall have the meanings given herein. When not inconsistent with the context, words used in the present tense include the future, words in the plural number include the singular number, and words in the singular number include the plural number. The word "shall" is always mandatory and not merely directory.
(a) "City" means the City of Seven Hills, Ohio.
(b) "City Arborist" means the City of Seven Hills Director of Public Service and Properties
(c) "Person" means any person, firm, partnership, association, corporation, company or organization of any kind.
(d) "Street tree" or "tree" means a tree in a public place, including but not limited to the treelawn right-of-way of residential property, except where otherwise indicated.
(e) "Public place" means any public street, public highway, public park or any property owned or held by the City within the boundaries of the City.
(f) "Arboriculture" or "tree preservation" means and includes the treating, spraying, pruning, maintaining and any other care or work intended for the strengthening of trees, and the removal and prevention of tree pests, blights and diseases of any and all kinds.
