A. Any person or occupant of the premises receiving notice of violation of subsection 4-3-1A or B shall promptly cut the grass, weeds, burdocks, thistles or uncultivated shrubbery. Notice will be deemed valid given either by personal notice or by certified mail; if the premises are vacant, notice will be deemed valid by posting the notice on the property.
B. Whenever said owner or occupant does not cut or destroy the grass, weeds, burdocks, thistles or uncultivated shrubbery within three (3) days of receiving said notice, the Village may cut the weeds or grass. The owner or occupant will be billed for all expenses involved in having the weeds or grass cut. If the property owner fails to pay the billed expenses within thirty (30) days, a lien may be filed pursuant to 65 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/11-20-7. (Ord. 92-14, 6-2-92)
