3-8-7: CLASSES OF LICENSES; NUMBER; FEES:
A license issued under the provisions of this chapter shall be one of the classes described in this section and shall be dated May 1, and shall expire April 30 of the following year. The fee shall be the amount specified and shall cover the period from the actual date of issuance to April 30 of the following year. No part of a fee may be transferred to, or applied upon, the license of a new owner or any other person.
   A.   Class A: Class A licenses shall authorize the sale of alcoholic liquor either for consumption upon the licensed premises or in the original package. Package sales shall not be consumed upon the licensed premises. The license fee shall be eight hundred dollars ($800.00) per year. The maximum number of authorized Class A licenses within the Village is twelve .
   B.   Class B: Class B licenses shall authorize the sale of alcoholic liquor sold in the original package only. Package sales shall not be consumed upon the licensed premises. The license fee shall be six hundred dollars ($600.00) per year. The maximum number of authorized Class B licenses is one.
   C.   Class C: Reserved.
   D.   Class D: Class D club licenses shall authorize the sale of alcoholic liquor to members and guests of members of a Club as defined in Section 3-8-2 of this Chapter. Liquor sales to the general public are prohibited. The license fee shall be three hundred dollars ($300.00). The maximum number of authorized Class D club licenses is zero.
   E.   Class E: Class E licenses shall authorize the sale of alcoholic liquor to be consumed solely on the licensed premises where the sale and consumption of food is the primary business conducted on the licensed premises. It shall be unlawful for a licensee holding a Class E retail license to sell alcoholic liquor except to a patron who is purchasing or consuming food on the licensed premises. The license fee shall be the sum of five hundred dollars ($500.00). The maximum number of authorized Class E licenses is zero.
   F.   Class F: Class F licenses shall authorize the sale of alcoholic liquors in facilities used primarily for banquets, wedding receptions, meetings and similar catered events, for consumption only during scheduled functions on the designated licensed premises. Class F licenses shall not be available to any facility that serves meals to the public on an individual basis, such as a restaurant or similar business. The license fee shall be nine hundred dollars ($900.00). The maximum number of authorized Class F licenses is zero.
   G.   Number Of Licenses: The Council herein reserves the right and power to limit the number of licenses to be issued within the corporate limits of the Village, which may be amended from time to time, in accordance with the public interest.
   H.   Amendment. Ordinance No. 24-15 adopted on July 15, 2024, amended the definition of classes of licenses. Such amendments shall not affect any currently issued liquor licenses, but shall be effective upon the expiration of any currently issued liquor license. (Ord. 91-04, 2-5-1990; amd.
