A. Abatement By Village: If the nuisance is not abated within the time provided, the Chief of Police or the Building Inspector, or some other village official whom the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety shall designate, may cause the abatement or removal of such public nuisance.
B. Abatement By Court Action: As an alternative to abatement by the village, particularly when the public nuisance does not pose a present danger or emergency to the public health, safety or peace, the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety may direct the Village's Attorney to file an ordinance complaint in the appropriate court. Such action may include, but is not limited to, collection of fines and penalties as prescribed in Section 4-2-10 below. (Ord. 22-14, 11-1- 2022)
