§ 150.04 KNOX BOX SYSTEM.
   (A)   The town has instituted a key box emergency access system to be managed and governed by the Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department. Prior to January 1, 2018, the following structures shall install a rapid entry key box system provided by the Knox Company (“Knox Box”) in an accessible location to be specified by the Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department:
      (1)   Any building within the town protected with an automatic sprinkler system equipped with a local or transmitted water-flow alarm;
      (2)   Any building within the town equipped with any fire alarm system with an outside audible/visual signaling device;
      (3)   Any building within the town equipped with any fire alarm system where the alarm is transmitted to an off-site location, or to the fire alarm center for the Liberty Township Fire Department; and
      (4)   Any new or remodeled commercial structure or multi-family structure with a single locked point of entrance within the town.
   (B)   Each Knox Box shall contain labeled keys, easily identified in the field to provide to provide access into the property and/or building; and to any locked areas within said building as the Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department may direct.
