145.04 CERTIFICATION.
   (a)   If the Chief Inspector does not possess a valid certificate for inspection and enforcement issued by the State of Ohio, Board of Building Standards, pursuant to Ohio R.C. 3781.10(E), at the time of appointment and confirmation, said Chief Inspector shall obtain said certification as soon as practicable. Failure to obtain certification within one year shall invalidate the Chief Inspector for consideration of re-appointment.
   (b)   The Chief Inspector shall, after having obtained a satisfactory completion of inspection and enforcement issued by the State of Ohio, continues to update his/her education and retain the necessary certification pursuant to promulgated rules and regulations prescribed in Ohio R.C. 3781, Building Standards.
