123.02 FRINGE BENEFITS.
   (a)   In addition to monetary compensation as set by Council from time to time, the Municipality will provide at it’s sole expense, membership for the Municipal Manager in the Hospitalization and Major Medical Group Plan that the Municipality may maintain from time to time for the benefit of it’s employees and their families. The life insurance plan currently offered full time employees will also be included as part of the Manager’s benefit package.
   (b)   The Municipality will, at its sole expense, provide membership for the Municipal Manager in the International City Manager’s Association (ICMA ); Ohio Municipal Manager’s Association; and in such other professional organizations as Council shall from time to time approve. Upon the prior request of the Municipal Manager and upon approval of Council, the Municipal Manager may attend the annual International City Manager’s Association Conference, and the Municipality will pay all reasonable expenses incurred by the Municipal Manager in connection with his attendance at said annual conference.
   (c)   The Municipal Manager shall enjoy the same rights and privileges as set forth in the Current Salary Ordinance in effect and subsequent Salary Ordinance as maintained from time to time by the Municipality of Sebring for it’s employees, and furthermore, the Municipal Manager shall receive three weeks, (120 hours), of paid vacation in each calendar year thereafter.
   (d)   The Municipal Manager shall also be entitled to receive mileage reimbursement for the use of his personal vehicle on Municipal business at the rate for said reimbursement established by this Council from time to time for all Municipal employees and officials.
   (e)   The Municipality shall recognize all sick time benefits accumulated by the Municipal Manager to date hereof, including that sick time previously recognized by this body.
   (f)   Council shall not pay any severance pay or medical benefits to said Municipal Manager upon the removal of his employment with the Municipality for any just cause. Just cause being any criminal offense other than traffic violations; theft or misuse of the Office of Municipal Manager of the Municipality of Sebring; moral turpitude; failure to follow directions of Council as a whole; and dereliction of duties. However, Council shall pay said Municipal Manager severance pay and medical benefits for three months at the current rate established in the Municipal Manager’s Salary Ordinance for removal of said Municipal Manager’s employment with the Municipality for any unjust cause. Unjust cause being any other cause for dismissal of the Manager from his duties as Manager other than listed above.
   (g)   The Municipality will pay all bonding costs for the position of said Municipal Manager.
   (h)   Council recognizes that the nature of the Municipal Manager’s employment requires his attendance at various Council, committee, board and commission meetings held beyond the regular business hours of the Municipal offices. It is understood that the Manager’s office hours will be irregular, however, if these irregularities are abused they will be addressed to the Municipal Manager by Council.
   (i)   The Municipality will provide a deferred compensation program, administered by PERS, so that the Municipal Manager may contribute at his sole expense to any said program. (Ord. 1646-98. Passed 8-24-98.)
