(a) Council hereby adopts for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life from fire or explosives, that certain code known as the Fire Prevention Code, recommended by the American Insurance Association, being particularly the 1970 edition thereof which is adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein, and from the date on which these rules shall take effect the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the Municipal limits.
(b) Complete copies of such code shall be kept on file at the office of the Clerk of Council, the office of the Fire Chief and in the County Law Library. The Clerk of Council shall keep copies available for distribution to the public at cost.
