A Housing Inspector shall be appointed by Council for a term of one year, within the first fifteen days of January in each calendar year. Such appointee need not be a resident of the Municipality at the time of his appointment, but shall become a resident thereof within six months after his appointment. Vacancies in the office of Housing Inspector shall be filled by the Council for the remainder of the unexpired term. The Housing Inspector shall enforce this chapter and shall perform such other duties as may from time to time be provided by ordinance. The Housing Inspector shall receive such compensation as may be provided from time to time by Council. (Ord.1200-79. Passed 3-12-79.)
