Fences, walls, hedges, plantings property fences may be placed at the property line with mutual written consent of adjacent property owners; otherwise, the fence shall be offset from the line by at least two (2) feet. In Residential Districts, no fence, wall or hedge shall be permitted in excess of six (6) feet in height and any fence, wall or hedge between the front property line and the front of the main building shall not exceed three (3) feet in height. A fence may be placed as specified above, with all outstanding posts facing the owner of the fence. No planting or fence shall be placed in such a manner as to obstruct the view of motorists or pedestrians. On a corner lot in any Residential District, no fence, wall or hedge in excess of three (3) feet in height shall be permitted within fifty (50) feet from the intersection of the two (2) streets.
The fee for a fence permit is fifty dollars ($50.00).
