Concrete sidewalks may be constructed on both sides of the streets and shall have a minimum width of four feet and a minimum thickness of four inches to provide for the safety of pedestrians in walking to schools or other similar major destinations. Concrete sidewalks shall be constructed in conformance with Item 608 of the State of Ohio Department of Transportation Construction and Material Specifications, the January 1, 1979, edition, as they pertain to this type of improvement. They shall also conform to the Approved Typical Section Standard Drawings.
