(a) "Taxicabs", as used in this chapter, means any vehicle propelled by mechanical power, used to carry passengers for hire, or fare, or offered for hire or fare to the public, for transportation, operating within the Municipality, including all vehicles for hire engaged in interurban from, or in or to the Municipality, except vehicles used by funeral directors, or undertakers in carrying on their business, and ambulances.
(b) Any person owning or having control of the use of one or more taxicabs, used for hire upon the streets of the Municipality, shall be deemed a "taxicab operator" and engaged in the business of operating a taxicab.
(c) "Taxicab driver" means any person who drives or operates a taxicab, or other than the owner of the taxicab. (Ord. 449. Passed 11-18-38.)
