UNIFORM TRAFFIC CODE
The Uniform Traffic Code for Cities, Townships and Villages as promulgated by the Director of the State Department of State Police pursuant to the Administrative Procedures Act of 1969, Public Act 306 of 1969, being M.C.L. §§ 24.201 to 24.328 and made effective October 30, 2002, and all future amendments and revisions to the Uniform Traffic Code when they are promulgated and effective in this state are incorporated by reference.

The Village Clerk shall publish this subchapter in the manner required by law and shall publish at the same time a notice stating the purpose of the Uniform Traffic Code for Cities, Townships and Villages and the fact that a complete copy of the code is available to the public at the office of the Clerk for inspection.

MICHIGAN VEHICLE CODE
The village shall publish this subchapter in the manner required by law and shall publish at the same time a notice stating the purpose of the Michigan Vehicle Code and further that a complete copy of the code is available to the public for inspection at the office of the Village Clerk.

DRUNK DRIVING
(A) The penalties provided by the Uniform Traffic Code for Cities, Townships and Villages are adopted by reference.
(B) The penalties provided by the Michigan Vehicle Code are adopted by reference; provided, however, that the village may not enforce any provision of the Michigan Vehicle Code for which the maximum period of imprisonment is greater than 93 days.
(C) A person found guilty of violating § 70.20 is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by one or more of the following:
(1) Community service for not more than 360 hours.
(2) Imprisonment for not more than 180 days.
(3) A fine of not less than $200 or more than $700.
