(A) The grievant may have present at the hearing a representative or legal counsel at his or her own expense. The grievant and his or her representative should be provided reasonable latitude in presenting the grievance and the managing department likewise in responding to the grievance.
(B) Abuse of any individual or employee should not be tolerated. The grievance hearing procedure does not confer the right upon anyone to make slanderous or libelous statements.
