§ 22-2-131 ACCIDENTS; STOPPING VEHICLE; INFORMATION; AID; REPORT; REQUIRED.
   (A)   The driver of any vehicle involved in an accident upon either a street or a private road or driveway resulting in injury or death to any person or damage to property shall:
      (1)   Immediately stop such vehicle at the scene of such accident;
      (2)   Give his or her name, address, and registration number of his or her vehicle to the owner of the property struck or the driver or occupants of any vehicle involved in the collision; and
      (3)   Render to any person injured in such accident reasonable assistance, including the carrying of such person to a physician or surgeon for medical or surgical treatment if it is apparent that such treatment is necessary or is requested by the injured person.
   (B)   In the event there are no other persons involved in such accident, such driver shall nevertheless stop at the scene of such accident and shall immediately contact some member of the Police Department. It shall be unlawful for any person, when involved in any such accident, to fail to comply with and perform any acts required by this section.
