§ 22-2-48 SAME; PARTICULAR STREETS AND INTERSECTIONS.
   The City Council, whenever it shall determine by resolution that the public safety, convenience, or welfare requires or warrants, by resolution, may designate streets, or parts of streets, on which vehicles shall have the right-of-way over vehicles traveling on intersecting streets. Appropriate signs with the words “yield” printed thereon shall be erected on the right side of the intersecting street at a point not to exceed 30 feet from the point of intersection of such street with the nearest boundary line of the street on which vehicles have the right-of-way, and so as to be read and obeyed by traffic on the intersecting street approaching the intersection.
