§ 20-7-17 DISTANCE FROM CORNER, HYDRANTS, UTILITY LINES, BUILDING, AND DRIVEWAYS.
   Street trees shall be planted not less than 35 feet from any street corner, measured from the point of nearest intersecting curbs or curb lines, and not less than eight feet from any hydrant. Small trees shall be planted no less than 15 lateral feet from the nearest overhead utility wire and medium trees shall be planted no less than 25 lateral feet from the same, and large trees no less than 35 feet from the same. No street tree shall be allowed to grow in such a manner that it shall interfere with any private or public utility line either above or below ground. A public or private utility may prune or remove, if necessary, any street tree which obstructs its lines, wires, or pipes, including house service lines, wires or pipes.
