(A) Before acting on an application for a special event permit, the Director of Parks and Recreation shall furnish a copy of the application to the City Clerk, Police Chief, the Fire Chief, and to the Public Works Director. The City Clerk, Police Chief, the Fire Chief, and the Public Works Director shall give their comments on the application to the Director of Parks and Recreation in time for the Director of Parks and Recreation to act on the permit within the time specified by this section.
(B) Such action shall be taken no later than ten business days after receiving a completed application and any applicable fee, if applicable. If the application is denied or conditionally approved, the Director of Parks and Recreation shall inform the applicant in writing of the grounds for denial or the conditions on the permit and the applicant’s right of appeal. If the Director of Parks and Recreation relied on information about the event other than that contained in the application, he or she shall inform the applicant of such information. If the Director of Parks and Recreation refuses to consider a late application under § 15-1-30 of this subchapter, he or she shall inform the applicant in writing of the reason for the refusal, and of the applicant’s right of appeal.
