§ 13-10-9 ADVERTISEMENTS ON POWER, TELEPHONE, AND TELEGRAPH POLES; STANDARDS; PROHIBITED; EXCEPTION.
   It is hereby declared unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to leave or place upon or against any telegraph, telephone, or electric light pole or electric light standard within the city any advertisement of any character or description. This prohibition shall not apply to advertising for an occasional sale of used personal property to be conducted at the home of the seller, commonly called a “garage sale”. The advertising described in the immediately preceding sentence shall be removed within 24 hours after the conclusion of the sale.
