It shall be unlawful for any person to fail to appear in county court on a charge of violation of any ordinance of the city as directed in a citation issued by the county court, or by the City Attorney or one of his or her deputies, or a police officer of the city, as authorized by statute or by any provision of this municipal code. A violation of any provision of this section is a Class I violation.
