The City Council may order a permit issued hereunder to be revoked by the City Clerk if it finds that the standards for issuance set forth in this article will not, or probably will not, be met notwithstanding the exercise of reasonable diligence on the part of the Police Department. The City Clerk, within one day after such order, shall issue a revocation of the permit and mail or deliver to the permittee a notice in writing of the revocation, stating the reason therefor.
