It shall be unlawful for any person to carry on or about his or her person, or otherwise to have in his or her possession or control, any switchblade knife. A switchblade knife shall mean and include any knife having a spring or other device that will open the blade and lock it in an open position. A violation of any provision of this section is a Class I violation.
