§ 2-6-3 RABIES; SUSPECTED ANIMAL; CONFINEMENT; NOTIFICATION OF POLICE.
   Any person owning or having the charge of, or observing any animal which he or she shall know or suspect to be affected with the disease of rabies shall immediately confine such animal, if this can be done with reasonable safety, and shall at once give notice to an animal control officer of the whereabouts of such animal, and the reasons for believing it to be affected with rabies.
