KENNEL, BOARDING KENNEL, and PET SHOP. Includes any establishment for the raising, training, boarding, or selling of domestic animals for any purpose, provided, these terms shall not include the following:
(1) An enclosure, residence, or establishment in which no more than three domestic animals of at least five months of age and their litters are kept;
(2) A pound operated by or under contract with the city; or
(3) A licensed veterinary hospital.
