TATTOO/BODY PIERCING ESTABLISHMENT. Any establishment where tattooing, branding, and/or body piercing is engaged in and where the business of tattooing, branding, and/or body piercing is conducted, or any part thereof. This definition does not include practices that are considered medical procedures, such as implants under the skin. Practices recognized as medical procedures by the State Medical Board shall not be performed in a TATTOO/BODY PIERCING ESTABLISHMENT. All TATTOO/BODY PIERCING ESTABLISHMENTS must obtain appropriate licensure through the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services for body art facilities.
