§ 53.001  PROCEDURE IN TIME OF WATER SHORTAGE.
   (A)   (1)   Whenever it shall be determined by the Superintendent of Utilities in the town that there is a shortage of water for distribution to the public in the town, notice of such water shortage shall be given to the public requiring all persons to abstain and desist from using water from the town water system except for drinking purposes or other household purposes, and also excepting hotels, cafes and persons dispensing drinks to the public.
      (2)   Such notice shall be dated, signed by the Mayor and Superintendent of Utilities and posted on the bulletin board in the Municipal Building, and all persons shall take notice thereof.
   (B)   It shall be unlawful for any person to draw or use water from the town water system for any purpose, except as stated in this section, at any time from and after one day after the posting of such notice, until such notice has been removed from the bulletin board.
