The purpose of this section is to enhance the rapid location and identification of properties by law enforcement, fire, rescue, emergency medical service, and building safety personnel in the Village of Schiller Park by appropriately generating an address for certain designated property to which an address does not currently exist or by modifying an address already in existence within the Village. The Village recognizes that, in some instances, it will be necessary to modify published and displayed addresses of certain resident or business locations to further support the purpose of address assignments. Whenever possible, the Zoning Administrator, or his or her designee, will mitigate disruption to Village residents or property occupants by changing only those addresses where there is a compelling public safety need to do so, and by those other means practicably available to the Zoning Administrator, or such designee.
