(A) Senior citizens. Provided the application shall be accompanied by a current Illinois motor vehicle registration verifying registration of such motor vehicle in the name of the resident, a valid Illinois motor vehicle operator's license issued to the applicant, and the applicant's affidavit that such vehicle will not be used for commercial or a business use, any resident of the Village who shall have attained the age of 62 years or more on or before June 30 preceding the current license year may make application for a Village motor vehicle license for the vehicle so licensed and registered to such resident. The annual fee to be paid by such applicant for a vehicle license as set forth in this subsection shall be as follows:
(1) Passenger vehicle, other than a bus $0.00
(2) Motor bus $50.00
(3) Motor cycle, or motor scooter $0.00
(4) Trucks:
(a) Up to and including 8,000 pounds $25.00
(b) 8,001 to and including 12,000 pounds $46.50
(c) 12,001 pounds and over $75.00
(5) Recreational vehicles:
(a) Up to and including 8,000 pounds $25.00
(b) 8,001 to and including 12,000 pounds $46.50
(c) 12,001 pounds and over $75.00
(B) School buses. Any official of any public or governmental agency or religious organization located within the corporate limits of the Village may make application for a Village motor vehicle license to be issued at no cost for motor buses owned or leased by the entities and used primarily to transport persons to and from their residences or designated pick-up points and the school activity or religious activity operated by the entities within the corporate limits of the Village.
(1) The application shall be accompanied by a current State of Illinois motor vehicle registration certificate verifying registration of a motor bus in the name of the public or governmental agency or religious organization.
(2) Where the motor bus for which application is made under this division is leased by the applicant, a copy of the lease may be presented in lieu of the State of Illinois motor vehicle registration certificate.
