§ 70.130 INVOLVING PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH.
   (A)   The driver of any vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury to or death of any person immediately shall stop the vehicle at the scene of the accident, or as close thereto as possible, and then shall forthwith return to and in every event shall remain at the scene of the accident until he or she has fulfilled the requirements of § 70.132. Every such stop shall be made without obstructing traffic more than is necessary.
   (B)   Any person who has failed to stop or to comply with these requirements shall, within 48 hours after the accident or, if hospitalized and incapacitated from reporting at any time during the period, within 48 hours after being discharged from the hospital, report the place of the accident, the date, the approximate time, his or her name, address, the registration number of the vehicle driven and the names of the occupants, if any, of the vehicle at the Village police station. No report made as required under this division shall be used, directly or indirectly, as a basis for the prosecution of any violation of division (A) above.
