For the purpose of this section, and the interpretation and application thereof, the following terms, phrases, words and their derivations shall have the meanings given herein, unless the context in which they are used shall indicate otherwise. When not inconsistent with the context, words used in the present tense include the future, words in the singular number include the plural number and words in the plural number include the singular number. Words or phrases not defined shall be given their common and ordinary meaning unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
CODE. The New Millennium Code of the Village and the Illinois Vehicle Code (ILCS Ch. 625, Act 5, §§ 1-100 et seq.) which is adopted by reference in § 70.020, except any offense under the Illinois Vehicle Code or a similar offense that is a traffic regulation governing the movement of vehicles and any reportable offense under § 6-204 of the Illinois Vehicle Code.
VIOLATION. Any violation or infraction, of the Code or any ordinance of the Village including, but not limited to, any building code, law or rule adopted by reference. Violation notice is in form of citation or other charging document.
VILLAGE. The Village of Schiller Park, Cook County, Illinois.
