(A) The 2021 edition of NFPA 101, which is also known as the 2021 Life Safety Code is hereby adopted to include only the following chapters: 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23, 29, 31, 33, 37, and 39. NFPA 101 is published by the National Fire Protection Association, and one copy shall be on file in the Office of the Village Clerk.
(B) All conflicts between NFPA 101 and other adopted codes and standards in this Chapter shall be decided by the Fire Chief, Village Building Official and the Director of Community Development.
(C) Chapter 2, Referenced Standards is hereby amended to reflect the following:
(1) NFPA 1 (Fire Code) is revised to the 2021 edition of International Fire Code.
(2) NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) is revised to reflect the edition adopted by this chapter.
(3) All other referenced standards shall reflect the most recent edition as published by the National Electrical Code.
(D) The 2021 edition of NFPA 101, (2021 Life Safety Code), is amended hereby as follows:
(1) Section 9.6.4.1 shall be and read as follows:
9.6.4.1 Emergency Forces Notification. When required by another section of this Code, emergency forces notification shall be provided to alert the municipal fire department and fire brigade (if provided) of fire or other emergency.
When fire department notification is required by another section of this Code the fire alarm system shall be arranged to transmit the alarm automatically via radio network tied directly to the Schiller Park Fire Department Communication Center in accordance with the latest published edition of NFPA 72, (National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code).
