(A) The 2021 edition of the International Mechanical Code, as promulgated and published by the International Code Council is hereby adopted. This code shall herein be known as the 2021 International Mechanical Code or 2021 IMC.
(B) The ICC International Mechanical Code/2006 is amended hereby as follows:
(1) The words "Village of Schiller Park" shall be inserted wherever the words the "Name of Jurisdiction" or "Insert Name of Department" appears within the 2021 International Mechanical Code.
(2) The term "Code Official" shall include the "Building Official" and/or the "Director of Community Development" of the Village of Schiller Park.
(3) Sections 103.2 and 103.3 are amended in their entireties hereby; so that hereafter the said Sections 103.2 and 103.3 shall be and read as follows:
"103.2 Code official: The Building Official and/or the Director of Community Development of the Village of Schiller Park (including their authorized agents and representatives).
103.3 Deputy code official: Collectively, all of the duly authorized agents and representatives of the Code Official who shall have and exercise all powers of the Code Official during the temporary absence or disability of the Code Official."
(4) Section 109.5 and 109.6 read as follows:
109.5 Fee schedule. The fees for mechanical work shall be paid as required in accordance with the most recent fee schedule approved by resolution by the President and Board of Trustees.
109.6 Fee refunds. The code official shall authorize the refunding of fees in accordance with the most recent fee schedule approved by resolution by the President and Board of Trustees.
(5) Section 113 is hereby amended to include Section 113.5 and Section 113.6 that read as follows:
113.5 Violation penalties. All penalties shall be paid in accordance with the most recent fee schedule approved by resolution by the President and Board of Trustees.
113.6 Stop work orders. All stop work order fines shall paid be in accordance with the most recent fee schedule approved by resolution by the President and Board of Trustees.
(6) Section 114 is amended in its entirety hereby; so that hereafter the said Section 114 shall be and read as follows:
"SECTION 114
MEANS OF APPEAL
"114.1 Board of appeals. The President and Board of Trustees shall serve as the Board of Appeals.
(7) Chapter 15, entitled "Referenced Standards", is amended to delete all reference to the "International Plumbing Code" and insert in place thereof the "Illinois Plumbing Code".
(8) Chapter 15, entitled "Referenced Standards", is amended to delete all reference to the "International Zoning Code", and the "International Electrical Code".
(9) Appendix A is adopted in its entirety and Appendix B and C are deleted in their entirety.
