The Building Inspector, or another person as may be au thorized by the Village President and Board of Trustees, may order work stopped when any construction, alteration or repair work is being done in violation of any provision of this chapter. The stop order shall be a written stop order. It shall be unlawful to continue work in violation of a stop order until that order has been revoked by the person issuing it or by the President and Board.
