(A) This section does not apply to enforcement of the Illinois Plumbing Code; that authority is reserved to the State of Illinois, as authorized by Illinois State Law, Code and Statutes.
(B) It shall be the duty of the Building Inspector and any lawfully appointed deputies to enforce the provisions of this chapter so long as he or she is licensed within the State of Illinois in accordance with Illinois State Law to make such inspection (i.e. Plumbing or Electrical).
(C) The Building Inspector is hereby empowered to make inspections as may be necessary to see to the enforcement of these provisions and to make any tests or examinations of materials or methods to be used for the purpose of seeing if they comply with the provisions of this chapter.
