For the purpose of the County Building Laws and this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
ADMINISTRATIVE AUTHORITY, CHIEF PLUMBING INSPECTOR or PLUMBING INSPECTOR. As used in the Plumbing Code, the County Engineer, except in § 4 of such Plumbing Code.
BOARD OF APPEALS. As used in the Building Code, the Board of Appeals established by § 206 of such Building Code.
BOARD OF APPEALS or BOARD OF EXAMINERS OF PLUMBERS. As used in the Mechanical Code, shall mean the Board of Examiners of Plumbers, Gas Fitters and Sewerage Contractors of the County of Los Angeles established by § 73 of the Los Angeles County Plumbing Code previously referred to in this chapter.
BOARD OF EXAMINERS OF PLUMBERS AND GAS FITTERS or BOARD OF EXAMINERS. As used in the Plumbing Code, the Board of Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters of the county, established by § 73 of the County Plumbing Code.
BUILDING DEPARTMENT. The Building and Safety Division of the Department of Public Works of the county.
BUILDING OFFICIAL. The County Engineer.
CHIEF ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR. The Director of Public Works of the county as set forth in § 80-5 of said Los Angeles County Electrical Code.
CITY. The City of Santa Fe Springs except in § 103 of the Building Code and in § 3 of the Plumbing Code.
COUNTY, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES or UNINCORPORATED TERRITORY OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES. The City of Santa Fe Springs.
GAS FITTER CONTRACTOR, JOURNEYMAN GAS FITTER, JOURNEYMAN PLUMBER or PLUMBING CONTRACTOR. As used in the Plumbing Code, a person holding a valid certificate of registration issued by the county as set forth in § 72 of the County Plumbing Code.
GENERAL FUND. The city treasury.
HEALTH OFFICER. The Health Officer of the
city.
MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN. A person possessing a valid certificate of registration as maintenance electrician issued by the Chief Electrical Inspector as set forth in § 82-4(b) of said Los Angeles County Electrical Code.
SPECIAL INSPECTOR. A person holding a valid certificate of registration issued by the county as set forth in § 306(c) of the Building Code.
