§ 157.10 PERMIT EXPIRATION.
   (A)   Unless Cal. Gov’t Code § 65964(b), as may be amended, authorizes the city to issue a permit with a shorter term, a permit for any wireless telecommunications facility shall be valid for a period of ten years, unless pursuant to another provision of this code it lapses sooner or is revoked. At the end of ten years from the date of issuance, such permit shall automatically expire.
   (B)   The city's approval of an administrative wireless telecommunications permit constitutes a federally-mandated modification to the underlying permit or approval of the tower or base station. The city's approval of an administrative wireless telecommunications permit will not extend the permit term for any underlying permit or other regulatory approval, and its term shall be coterminous with the underlying permit or other regulatory approval for the subject tower or base station.
   (C)   A permittee may apply for a new permit within 180 days prior to expiration. Said application and proposal shall comply with the city's current code requirements for wireless telecommunications facilities.
