(A) The following days have been designated by the county as paid holidays for regular full-time employees. Employees working flexible schedules, such as four ten-hour days per week, may use a maximum of 110 hours of holiday leave in each calendar year.

(B) (1) When any of the holidays listed in division (A) above fall on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be observed as the holiday.
(2) When any of the above holidays fall on a Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be observed as the holiday. However, those offices required by law shall remain open for business.
(C) Should a holiday occur while an employee is on vacation, the employee will not be charged with vacation the day of the holiday.
(D) Employees on unpaid Family Medical Leave (FMLA) are not entitled to holiday pay for holidays that occur while the employee is on unpaid FMLA leave.
(E) Eight hours shall be designated as “personal preference” hours. These hours may be taken in no less than half-hour increments. These personal preference hours will not be granted to an employee until he or she has worked for the county a minimum of one calendar year in a permanent position.
