1353.99 PENALTY.
   (a)   Whoever violates any provision of this Plumbing Code, or fails to comply with any order of the administrative authority thereunder, or causes or permits the same to be done, shall be, except as otherwise specifically provided herein, fined not more than $200.00, or imprisoned not more than 3 months, or both.
   (b)   Penalties for Specific Violations.
(1)   Whoever performs any work or installs any appliance, device, or equipment without first securing the permit required therefor under the provisions of this Plumbing Code shall be fined not more than $100.00, for a first offense, and for a second or subsequent offense, shall be fined not more than $200.00, or imprisoned not more than 3 months, or both.
(2)   Whoever perpetrates a fraud or misrepresents a material fact by reason of which any permit or approval required under the provisions of the City Plumbing Code is obtained, or performs any plumbing work for which a license is required under the provisions of the Plumbing Code without possessing the required license, shall be fined not more than $100.00, for a first offense, and for a second or subsequent offense, shall be fined not more than $200.00, or imprisoned for not more than 3 months, or both.
(3)   Whoever refuses, neglects, or fails to comply with any order to stop work issued under the provisions of this Plumbing Code, or refuses, neglects, or fails to comply with a notice to correct any installation of drainage, plumbing or water supply, or gas piping that is found to be in an unsafe or unsanitary condition, or maintains a use or occupancy prohibited by this Plumbing Code, shall be fined not more than $100.00 for first offense, and for a second offense or subsequent offense, shall be fined not more than $300.00, or imprisoned for not more than 3 moths, or both.
(4)   Whoever refuses, neglects, or fails to comply with a written order issued under the provisions of this Plumbing Code requiring immediate abatement of a dangerous condition, when immediate compliance with the order is essential for the public safety, shall be fined not more than $200.00, for a first offense, and for a second or subsequent offense shall be fined not more than $300.00, or imprisoned for not more than 3 months, or both.
