Every plumber's license issued shall remain in force and effect until its expiration date, unless sooner cancelled, suspended, or revoked. All licenses shall be issued as of January 1 of the current year, and shall expire on December 31 of that year. A license may be renewed without examination, and upon request upon payment of the prescribed fee.
