Any building, structure, or portion thereof declared as dangerous or unfit for human habitation or occupancy shall be posted with a placard by the Building Official. The placard shall be affixed to the building or structure, upon the door or entrance thereto, and shall contain a declaration that the structure is dangerous or unfit for human habitation or occupancy, and is ordered vacated. No person shall deface or remove such placard. The Building Official shall remove the placard whenever the defect or defects upon which the vacation was based have been eliminated.
