(a) No person shall cast, place, sweep or deposit any garbage or other refuse, or cause the same to be done, on or in the ground of any private or public property, or on, along or near any street, highway, alley, road, park or public ground, water or waterway, or sewer or ditch, except that garbage or other refuse may be placed upon property, behind a line parallel to the front of the building extended to the side lot lines, for purposes of collection only, on the day it is to be collected. No person shall store or dispose of any garbage or other refuse in any manner or way other than permitted or specified in this chapter. The prohibition herein does not apply to disposal grounds or works maintained or authorized by a public authority.
(b) No person shall burn garbage except in a disposal unit (as defined in Section 955.01) which is located in an enclosed building. (Ord. 10-055. Passed 6-28-10.)
