The Division of Water Distribution will test a meter upon request of the owner or consumer. If the meter varies more than 2% on any size up to 2 inches or more than 5% on any size larger than 2 inches, the bill will be adjusted and the meter corrected and reinstalled; if the meter is found to be correct within the above limits a charge of ten dollars ($10.00) shall be made. It is required by the Division of Water Distribution that the person entering the complaint or his authorized agent arrange to witness the test.
