Except in cases where a different punishment is prescribed in this code, every offense declared to be a misdemeanor is punishable by a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) for each offense, or imprisonment in a county jail not to exceed six (6) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment 1 .
Except in cases where a different punishment is prescribed in this code, every offense declared to be an infraction is punishable by a penalty not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100.00) and no imprisonment. (Ord. 1183, 10-17-2007)
