The following words and terms shall, for the purposes of this chapter, have the meanings shown herein. Where terms are not defined in this chapter and are defined in the building code (CCR Title 24 Part 2) and used in the residential code (CCR Title 24 Part 2.5), such terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them in those codes. Where terms are not defined in this chapter or the building code, such terms shall have ordinarily accepted meanings such as the context implies.
