The authority to purchase supplies, material, equipment, and contracted services is dependent upon the total dollar amount of the goods or services to be purchased and the type of purchase. Purchasing authority are based on the following amounts:
A. Purchases up to $50,000. Purchases in this category may be authorized by the Agency/Department Directors and/or the City Manager.
B. Purchases between $50,001 and $100,000. Purchases in this category may only be authorized by the City Manager or the Assistant City Manager with prior written authorization from the City Manager in the City Manager's absence.
C. Purchases over $100,000. Purchases in this category may only be authorized by the Mayor and City Council.
