§ 12.3701   Termination of Office.
   Notwithstanding any other provision of this Code, and unless otherwise provided by statute, the appointment of each person appointed to any board, commission, or committee (including a municipal advisory council, but excluding a joint powers authority) by an individual supervisor or by the Board of Supervisors at the request and on the recommendation of an individual supervisor shall expire when the supervisor appointing or recommending the appointment leaves office, and the successor supervisor shall appoint or recommend appointment of a person to serve the balance of the underlying term. An incumbent appointee shall, however, hold over until his or her successor is appointed. This Section shall not apply to joint powers authorities.
