§ 13.01.005 REPORTING STRAY ANIMALS.

   Every person, excluding the poundmaster and his or her deputies, who takes up and confines a stray dog or other animal, shall report, within 72 hours of acquiring such stray animal, to the City of Hollister Animal Shelter that:

   (A)   The animal is confined in his/her possession;

   (B)   The animal shall be fully described as to physical characteristics;

   (C)   Whether the animal is vaccinated for rabies, and is licensed as determined by the presence of two metal tags; and

   (D)   If rabies and licensure tags are present, the tag numbers and by whom the tag was issued. (SBC § 13.01.023, as modified.)
