§ 50.17 WATER, WASTEWATER FUNDS.
   (A)   (1)   The rate based on water meter reading for each 1,000 gallons of water shall be increased to $8.10 from $4.05. The rate for each 1,000 gallons of wastewater treated based on the reading of the water meter shall remain $7.35.
      (2)   The above rates shall be charged to each and every customer based solely on their consumption, and there shall be no minimum charge.
   (B)   The Village Administrator and Fiscal Officer shall annually review its financial status at the regular business meeting in November of each year, or before if necessary.
   (C)   If an increase is determined to be necessary, the Village Administrator will establish the rate change, subject to approval by the Village Council.
   (D)   All customers with service connections beyond the limits of the incorporated village shall have a surcharge of 100% added to applicable water and/or wastewater charges as stated in division (B) above.
   (E)   Water and/or wastewater bills are due and payable no later than the twenty-eighth day of each month.
   (F)   A penalty of 10% of the amount due will be added to the water and/or wastewater bill, and any other applicable charges, each month if payment is not remitted by the due date.
   (G)   Any customer that fails to remit timely payment for water and/or wastewater services by the due date are considered delinquent, and any past due balance may be turned over to the County Auditor for tax collection.
   (H)   The proceeds of the water and wastewater rates, surcharges, penalties, or other charges as applicable are to be used to operate facilities, construct, reconstruct, upgrade, relocate, replace, repair, and maintain water and wastewater service.
   (I)   Customers connected to the village sewer system, but not to the water system, shall be charged a flat rate of $35 per month for sewer services. Customers have the option to install a meter to determine actual sewer gallons at the applicable rates which are defined in § 50.37.
