§ 90.16 RUNNING AT LARGE; IMPOUNDMENT.
   Any dog found running at large will be apprehended and impounded, and this may be done by any sheriff, police officer, or other village official. Notice of the apprehension and impounding of any dog shall be given to the owner, if known, stating that the dog must be redeemed within five days; and if no one claims said dog within said period, such dog shall be humanely dispatched or disposed of by the police as a stray dog.
